What is Baphomart’s Seller Protection Policy?

Baphomart’s Seller Protection offers assistance to eligible sellers in the event of a dispute with a buyer.

To qualify for Seller Protection, you must comply with our Seller Protection Policy and remain in good standing with Baphomart. Good standing means that you:

  • sell qualifying items
  • dispatch orders on time
  • respond to messages in a timely manner

Please familiarise yourself with the full Policy here.

Seller Protection and Bapomart’s case system

Baphomart’s case system (contact ticket page) is a platform for buyers and sellers to work together to resolve concerns about orders. If you and a buyer are unable to settle the issue on your own, the buyer can ask a Baphomart specialist to step in and mediate the case.

The specialist overseeing the case will determine if the order and your shop qualify for Seller Protection (legal policies section). It’s important that you respond to Baphomart’s requests for information in the case log within the time frame given by Baphomart to prevent action from being taken on your account.

After the specialist has reviewed the dispute, they will either provide you with specific directions to resolve the dispute, or may issue a refund for the order if you have not complied with Baphomart’s policies.

The Seller Protection Policy doesn’t guarantee a resolution in your favour. Sellers who don’t comply with Baphomart’s policies are subject to review, which can result in suspension of account privileges and/or termination.

European Union

If you enter into a transaction with a buyer that is located in the European Union, you are subject to comply with the EU Directive on Consumer Rights.

For an EU buyer wishing to resolve a dispute with an EU seller: we believe our case system is the most effective and speediest means of resolving disputes between buyers and sellers. However, if you don’t want to use our case system, you have the option of using the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform instead, which you can find here.
