White Horse Patch – chalk, folklore, legend, british, folk horror patch, occult patches, prehistoric, myths, mythology, patches for jackets
Uffington Horse chalk works. The famous White Horse is the oldest chalk-cut hill figure in Britain, perhaps over 3,000 years old.
Screen printed sew on patch. White on black cotton.
This patch is:
18 cm x 10cm – 7″ x 4″ approx
Hand printed and cut
Printed with professional textiles ink and wash safe once ironed*
*Safe to hand wash. Never machine wash or tumble dry.
All my patches are printed on quality cotton (the weight of material used for a dress shirt), not canvas. My patches are hand printed and hand cut so expect variations in the cut edges. When I sew on my patches I like a frayed edge but for a neat edge you can fold the edges under when sewing.
Most patches will be folded to post, so just run an iron over it when it arrives!

Reverend Dodge Driving a Devil out of the Parish – Lino Print
This image depicts the Rev. Richard Dodge, Parson of Talland in Cornwall, doing what he was famous for. He was parson of Talland from 1713 until he died aged 93 in 1747, and was widely reputed to be able to raise the dead, lay ghosts to rest and he was also believed to be able to exorcise devils from places and used a horsewhip in carrying out these tasks.
People were often fearful of meeting him in the dead of night, as no doubt, a spirit or demon would also be in close range, but it is also believed that he courted these attitudes as he could have been involved with smuggling and wanted to keep the way free to assist the smugglers.£26.95 Sold by: Tarraway Hoofpress
