Large gothic wooden candle holder for tea lights “A Dance of Death” / Skeleton candle holder

This candle holder has four different images the skeleton of Death, one lasered on to each side.

In 1922, Walter Draesner’s silhouette book “”Ein Totentanz”” (A Dance of Death) was published in Germany. Now, 100 years later, his art is as brutally chilling as ever… and it looks great on our candle holder for tea lights!

The candle holder is handmade from sustainable reclaimed timber, and every one has a unique combination of grain and hints of its previous life. They have a natural oiled finish and measure approximately 8.5cm x 8.5cm x 8.5cm.

Each candle holder has a different scene lasered on to each of the four sides:

Im Tode vereint / United in death
Der Tod am Galgen / Death on the gallows
Tod und Krieger / Death and warrior
Tod im Wasser / Death in the water
