“Garrrr Garrr!”
Alongside traditional Alpine Christmas figures such as St Nicholas and the Krampus, there are groups of other figures who come out around the festive season, and this figure focusses on punishing naughty or lazy little girls.
These figures come under the umbrella term “Perchta”, and this design is specifically based on the Austrian variety, the Schnabelperchten. Like the Krampus, she may wear a basket to carry off badly behaved little girls, her scissors are for at the very least threatening to disembowel her quarry, and in the extreme, their use, filling their subject with sawdust and sewing them up.

Water-based teal, matte ink print on white 220 gsm paper, hand-hand pressed with a spoon and touched up by hand also to give it a consistent tone all over. Writing is also hand inked on.
(Watermark only included to protect the online image, the print will only have edition number, title if needed and it will be signed by myself.)
Size of the image is approx. 18 x 23 cm
Size of the mount is approx. 28 x 33.5 cm
Limited edition of 12 prints of each colour in this design, soon to be pressed in black ink . Delivered mounted and wrapped in cellophane.

Shipping Policy
All prints are wrapped in protective cellophane, with a sheet of sturdy card, then gift wrapped. I use First Class Signed For delivery by the Royal Mail for all UK items. If you are overseas and would like to purchase something from me, please feel free to send me a message and I will get investigating further in how to get work to you! A request is to please ensure that there is time enough to receive your order by checking when the Royal Mail Strike dates are.
Terms and Conditions
Tarraway Hoofpress accepts returns of items within 14 days of yourself as buyer receiving the item ordered. Should this be required, please ensure the item is packaged carefully to reach me in preservable order, and a refund will be issued of the original transaction.
Hopefully understandable, if a returned item of resalable quality returns in anything other than perfect condition, Tarraway Hoofpress cannot offer refunds.
