A handmade rat skeleton made from fabric, the perfect low maintenance pet

Size Approx: length (not including tail or plinth) 20cm, height 11cm, width 3cm

The perfect rat for your mantle piece, own a solo rat or collect a whole mischief!

This sewn bone is made from natural coloured 100% recycled cotton calico. Because of the nature of these soft sculptures, some items may require a little bit of gentle manipulation to make them stand or sit, the ribs have some wire to keep their shape and may need reshaping. This is a very light item made from fabric and stuffed with stuffing made from recycled plastic bottles or factory waste stuffing depending on which is available at the time. I have added light detail/depth of colour/aging in acrylic paint. He stands proud on a little wooden plinth, labelled in machine embroidery with his Latin name “Rattus Rattus”

I lovingly handmake each of my pieces, please expect slight variations between your order and what you see in the photo, it will always be beautiful, and full of character.

I can customise my pieces, such as making them in different sizes, colours etc. I can decorate it in many ways from embroidery and painting to appliqué, names and phrases can also be added, please message me for a quote. I create all the patterns for my designs from scratch, so if there is a particular bone, skull or creature you would like me to make, please get in touch, I do take commissions.

This rat skeleton is for decoration only, it is not suitable for children and is not a toy, it is not washable, except for gentle wiping with a damp cloth.

The fabric that I have used is 100% recycled cotton calico and the stuffing is made from recycled plastic bottles or factory waste, making this item ethical, vegan and sustainable.

My packaging is plastic free and recyclable/biodegradable/reused.
