Season beatings! Gruß vom Krampus!
Alpine folklore brings us Krampus, the friend of St Nicholas, and whilst St Nicholas rewards the good little boys and girls at Christmas time, Krampus punishes them, either by thrashing them with branches or carrying them off in a potato sack or a basket on his back. Also available in a line mono print version in this very shop!
Inspired by the inhabitants of The Garden of Earthly Delights, I wanted to produce a small devil which seems to be a recurring theme, given the name and theme of the legend of Tarraway. I want to create a few characters of this size and demonic persuasion as a set. “Ad Quod Damnum” translates to “Appropriate to the Harm” which felt appropriate to a demon’s lot.
This fellow is green with metallic detail.
